CrimeCog Product Announcement

July 7th, 2009

Date: July 6, 2009

To: Our valued DDP customers

From: Stuart Jankelovitz, SVP Sales

Good morning. We are aware that there has been much discussion around the future of the DDP product, potential cost increases, and the direction of our organization. We would like to take this opportunity to answer some of your questions, as well as, provide you with further information on the CrimeCog product strategy.

We continue to develop, and are on schedule to deliver, our Next Generation E*Justice RMS solution in the September 2009 timeframe. In response to your feedback, we are excited to announce the new CrimeCog family of RMS solutions:

·         E*Justice RMS Silver – This solution provides much of the functionality of the current base DDP product plus numerous enhancements. Some examples of the enhancements include real-time data sharing, a formal incident approval process, and a fully functional spellchecker.

·         E*Justice RMS Gold – This solution will provide all of the functionality of the Silver product plus additional features such as advanced reporting, warrant requests, and citations.

·         Ala Carte Options – An agency may elect to add specific modules to its Silver solution to increase functionality.

We also believe it is imperative to clarify and document some important information:

  • CrimeCog has officially added the DDP product to our product suite. Our plan is to support the existing DDP product for a minimum of three (3) years. This includes any required modifications to MICR submission and gun permits. Our customers can choose to remain on their DDP product at their current yearly maintenance fee with no price increase.

  • We fully support regional and statewide data sharing initiatives in conjunction with the Talon suite of products in both the DDP and Next Generation solutions. CrimeCog will provide this functionality at no increased cost to our customers.

  • We will be delivering a LEIN interface as a component of our Next Generation solutions to enable the query of the LEIN system and the subsequent automated entry of the pertinent data into our Records Management System.

  • DDP customers can elect to migrate to the Silver solution where there may be a nominal increase in annual cost.

  • DDP customers may elect to participate in our 30/20/10 Maintenance Lock-in Program. Enrollment in this program upgrades your agency to the Gold solution. This program provides a significant cost savings over our standard pricing model and is available only to our DDP customers. If your agency participates in this program and then determines that the Silver solution is sufficient, we will release your agency from its commitment.

In the near future, we will be sending out a correspondence announcing a conference call to provide more detailed information around these announcements and to answer any of your questions. As always, if you have any immediate questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at (248) 630-2195.

CrimeCog Technologies, Inc. Acquires DDP Police Service, Inc.

January 19th, 2009

CrimeCog and DDP join forces to link police records for nearly 1/3 of the police agencies in Michigan!

January 16, 2009 – CrimeCog Technologies, Inc. (CrimeCog) of Ann Arbor, Michigan announced today it has finalized the transaction to purchase DDP Police Services of Gladwin, Michigan. Kathy Papineau, widow of DDP founder Don Papineau, said, “Don always worked toward the dream of creating the kind of criminal justice information sharing network that CrimeCog is rolling out in Michigan. He would be pleased that CrimeCog is utilizing the fruits of his hard work over the past 20 years as the platform for building a truly integrated justice information management system across the state of Michigan. I could not be more pleased with this outcome.”

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed, but CrimeCog will assume responsibility for maintaining service to DDP’s 160 police agencies while offering them the opportunity to migrate to CrimeCog E*Justice.

“CrimeCog is grateful to Kathy and Tom Visser for working hard to arrive at an agreement that is a win-win-win for DDP, their customers and CrimeCog,” said Dennis Blanchette, CEO of CrimeCog Technologies, Inc. “This transaction provides the jump start needed to immediately help more than 160 Michigan police agencies to reduce costs and improve efficiency and effectiveness by setting the stage to become members of our E*JusticeÔ integrated justice network. Many more cities, townships and counties across Michigan will save money as they improve accuracy and increase safety through the linking of law enforcement agency and police records with the Sheriff’s jail operations and the Prosecuting Attorneys offices as we integrate DDP with E*Justice.”

CrimeCog’s E*Justice is unique because it eliminates wasteful re-entering of data and is easy to learn and use, because CrimeCog takes care of all the technology. Departments maintain complete control of their data and are able to share selective information without jeopardizing a suspect’s rights or the system’s security. The CrimeCog E*JusticeÔ service can manage all forms of police reports, court records and information about prisoners in county jails or state prisons. It works seamlessly to track cases from incident report to incarceration and parole. It can work with existing victim notification systems that also operate in many states.

“I think our customers are going to be pleased with the stability and added value that CrimeCog Technologies, Inc. will bring to the DDP customer base,” said Thomas Visser VP of operations at DDP Police Services. “This really helps me take the DDP customers to the next level and increase the value beyond what DDP was able to provide by itself.”
