JAIL MANAGEMENT

The Jail Booking and Maintenance system feature components that record and track inmate data from booking through release. This module includes case management functionality that allows court case data, charges, appearance information (e.g., date, time, judge, courtroom), appearance results, and disposition information to be recorded for inmates. Batch processing is available for the cell assignment, periodic check-in/check-out, and inmate exercise components of the Jail Maintenance module. Multiple jail reporting functions are also available.

Additional functionality includes import of data in NIST or TP600 formats, an interface with the Morpho Touch fingerprint imaging system, export of ANSI/NIST transactions, fingerprint verification prior to release, inmate trust accounting, inmate classification functionality using a point scale methodology, commissary management, medical screenings including storing medical digital photos, and a prescription management system.

MANAGE AND TRACK ALL ASPECTS OF INMATE NCARCERATION

Initiate a new booking record via the notification process. Automatically create a booking record with data previously gathered and entered into other E*Justice modules.

Manage and track inmate court appearances, cell assignments (including no contact alerts), medical needs (e.g., diets, prescriptions, doctor appointments), and inmate exercise. Accept/release inmate property including receipt generation. Record and track periodic check-in/check-out times, visitations, phone calls, and mail.

CLASSIFY AN INMATE'S CUSTODY/RISK LEVEL

Assess or reassess an inmate’s custody level based on prior history, charges, sentences, cautions, social indicators, medical condition, and sanctions.

CAPTURE BIOMETRIC FINGERPRINTS, VERIFY INMATE ID PRIOR TO RELEASE

Ensure the correct person is being released via the SAGEM MORPHOTOUCH™ fingerprint imaging device. This interface biometrically matches the fingerprint captured during the booking process and verifies the ID of the person being released. Prior to release view notifications and alerts generated based on inmate hold requests by external agencies, outstanding warrants, and pending supplemental arrests.

TRACK INMATE MOVEMENT

Track inmate movement through barcode scanning for cell assignments, work release programs, medical appointments, and court appearances.

RECORD AND MANAGE INMATE TRUST
ACCOUNTING AND COMMISSARY PURCHASES

Use the E*Justice financial management system to manage trust accounts and commissary use. This feature will carry forward trust balances and account receivables if an inmate is re-incarcerated.

RECORD INMATE COURT APPEARANCE DATA

Record inmate court case data, charges, appearance information (e.g., date, time, judge, courtroom), appearance results, and disposition information. Print court appearance reports.

PROCESS INMATE DATA EN MASSE

Process multiple records for inmate cell assignments, periodic check-in/check-out or inmate exercise schedule with a single action using the E*Justice mass processing feature.

QUERY JAIL ROSTERS

Conduct a search for specific jail data about an individual or group that are in or out of custody. Use the drill-down menus to view person details, charges, addresses, property, etc.

IMPORT/EXPORT GLOBAL JUSTICE XML DATA

Create a GJXDM-compliant rap sheet. Accept data from external systems directly or through XML-enabled integration brokers. Post reports directly to Web site.

MANAGE PROBATION/PAROLE AND COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS CASES

Track inmates who have been sentenced to a corrections program inside or outside a facility (e.g., DWI, drug and substance abuse programs, community custody, community service, electronic monitoring, etc.). Track inmate program activity, service providers, case notes, case worker assignments, drug test results, check-in phone calls, appointments, service notes, work details, and case loads.

Corrections officers use the E*JUSTICE SYSTEMS Jail Management module to receive and process inmates, manage prisoners in the detention facility, and track and manage their probation, parole, and community corrections activities.
