The Law Enforcement RMS is a comprehensive case management tool for inputting and retrieving internal and external law enforcement incident reports and field arrest data including field interviews from initiation, review, assignment, scheduling to reporting of case events, and recording of case assignment histories. Functionality includes inter-agency and workgroup capabilities, modus operandi/offense association, a vehicle recovery feature that provides a user-friendly method of reporting stolen and recovered vehicles, Uniform Crime Reporting, gang management, crime analysis export, field arrest/AFIS interface, NIBRS data submission, CAD mobile data system interface, accident reporting and citation management, and an external search capability that allows queries to be performed on data sent to external agencies, such as the NCIC or FBI. Includes appropriate security measures.

MANAGE INCIDENT/FIELD ARREST REPORTS
Create incident reports via
the CAD interface or create option. RECORD FIELD CONTACT/INTERVIEW DATA Capture field interview data (e.g. location, people, vehicles, gang, and intelligence data) across multiple agencies. Restrict access to intelligence information and conceal data at the agency/role level. Generate a new incident report from field interview data. CAD DISPATCH/TRANSFER/FIELD-BASED REPORTING Download a CAD event from the CAD system and generate an EJS incident report. Create and manage field reports using Adobe Acrobat PDF templates on the mobile computer and then download the XML file to a flash or floppy drive for E*Justice upload. EXPORT CRIME ANALYSIS AND MAPPING DATA Export offense, suspect, and victim incident report data to criminal analysis software interface. Interface with the ESRI ArcIMS tool and Googlemap to perform layering and crime analysis of incidents returned from an incident report query. Map results are returned based on longitude and latitude of the incident address coordinates. VALIDATE AND SUBMIT NIBRS AND UCR DATA Collect, validate, and submit State-specific UCR and NIBRS reporting data. MANAGE CASE INVESTIGATIONS Allow collaborative work via simultaneous access/review of records depending on security level and authorizations. Capture officer field notes and narrative reports. Query for investigation data through narrative searches. Assign cases, manage case loads, and schedule case calendars. Build photo lineups and attach photos to reports. MANAGE TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS AND CITATIONS Capture accident data, including location, road/ environment conditions, traffic units, people, images, vehicles, damage, circumstances, officers, and narrative information. Select a pre-drawn collision diagram from a gallery of stored diagrams or add a new diagram. Capture and maintain citation data for a person or business including type, officer, location, vehicle, violation, incident, bond, and court appearance information. MANAGE PROPERTY AND EVIDENCE Manage stolen, recovered, impounded, and evidence property. Print barcode identification labels. View chain of custody record. Track towed vehicles; serialized property; and pawn tickets. Enter and track agency property or personnel property including vehicles. |
TRACK INVENTORY Record, track, and query inventory items such as weapons, police property or personal property. Relate inventory items and vehicles to an agency and/or employee and associate to any property or vehicle contained in the master index. SERVE AND TRACK CIVIL PAPERS AND WARRANTS Manage civil service details including calculating, billing, and payment of service fees. Update warrant records, track warrant status, and generate notifications for service. Record attorney information, service data, warrant comments, and warrant fee and collection data. ATTACH AND ASSOCIATE IMAGES Attach/associate property, evidence, vehicles, documents, and people (e.g., mugshots, SMT, photo lineups, etc.) images to related information. Create and store a suspect line-up for on-line viewing or printing. Scan and store signatures. View, manipulate, search, retrieve, print, and export images. RECORD POLICE LOG/K-9 WORKING DOG DATA Record information regarding crimes and police activities. Associate E*Justice appointments, addresses, and incident reports to a log record. Manage K-9 training, medical records, activities, and assignments. MANAGE LICENSES, PERMITS, AND REGISTRATIONS Enter and monitor activity for license, permit, and registration data such as alarms, bicycles, firearms, possession of a concealed handgun, pawn shops, registered sex or habitual offenders, etc. MANAGE EMPLOYEE SCHEDULES, ASSIGNMENTS, AND TRAIINING Maintain personnel records including work history, schedules, assignments, and skills. Manage training including enrollment, cost, curriculum, hours, certifications, weapons training, and reporting. BUILD MASTER INDEXES AND VIEW CRIMINAL HISTORY SUMMARIES Create, query, and view records specific to people, businesses, vehicles, property, and addresses via the associated master index. View an individual’s court case and criminal history records (i.e., incidents, field interviews, bookings, arrest, warrants, sentences, intakes, citations, social histories, jail cases, probation cases, and accidents). GENERATE NOTIFICATIONS/ALERTS/MESSAGES Notify other user roles of an event that has occurred or of an action that needs to be carried out in E*Justice. Configure alerts for user awareness of critical information (e.g., officer safety alerts) and actions requiring immediate attention. Identify the status of an individual (e.g., registered sex offender, outstanding warrant, on probation, active court paper, juvenile, etc.). Send messages to other E*Justice users via the messaging/scheduling interface that integrates with other 3rd party products. EXPORT/IMPORT GLOBAL JUSTICE XML DATA E*Justice’s XML API enables accepting data from external systems directly or through XML-enabled integration brokers. A GJXDM 3.0-compliant rap sheet can also be created. |
